About Me

I have just graduated from a four-year Bachelor of Industrial Design degree at Western Sydney University and I am now looking for a full-time employment opportunity. I am hard working and high achieving, I am always striving to do the best that I can do, and I am always willing to learn new skills. I excel in the area of design and technology, I possess a creative mind that is attentive to detail, and I have developed a particular interest in the design of digital and interactive technologies.

My Experience

Technical Officer at Western Sydney University (April 2017 – Current)

After graduating from university, I was asked to come back and fill in for the technical coordinator of Industrial Design. This involved undertaking tasks such as running and supervising workshop classes and university events, assisting students and external companies with projects, managing and operating equipment and materials, and providing facility tours.

Self-Employed Web Designer (November 2016 – Current)

After completing my studies, I started creating websites for a couple of small businesses to further develop my skills.

Web/Mobile Designer at Helpwise Website Development (January 2013 – Current)

I have been creating mobile applications, mockups, video tutorials, web applications, and websites. I played a major role in bringing mobile application development to the company. I created Helpwise’s first mobile applications for West End Mazda in 2014, before creating applications for Surf Life Saving Sydney, the University of NSW and Marine Rescue NSW.

Retail Team Member at Supercheap Auto McGraths Hill (October 2012 – Current)

I have been undertaking general retail tasks along with paint mixing and vehicle fitments. I was awarded Super Retail Group’s Area Team Member of the Month in February 2013 and I have also represented the company at local events.

Assistant Technical Officer at Western Sydney University (October 2016)

I individually ran weekly Makerspace workshops at the university’s Parramatta campus where I assisted students, staff, and members of the public with completing their projects on the 3D printing and laser cutting machines.

Casual Academic at Western Sydney University (September 2016)

I individually ran classes on using the 3D printing and laser cutting machines, inducting fellow students and academics.

My Education

Bachelor of Industrial Design (Honours) at Western Sydney University (2013 – 2016)

I sub-majored in Design Management and Industrial Graphics, whilst my elective areas of study included Interactive Design, Human-Computer Interaction, and Social Computing. I achieved 9 High Distinctions and 13 Distinctions, making the Dean’s Merit List in 2013 and 2015. I also became a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society.

Higher School Certificate at Wyndham College (2011 – 2012)

I was first in course in Industrial Technology Graphics, Information Processes and Technology, and Software Design and Development. I graduated with Wyndham College’s most prestigious award – the Caltex Best All Rounder Award.
